These terms govern access to LikeLocal and the support website.

Use of the service

LikeLocal is provided as a travel phrasebook, local discovery, and travel-planning aid. It helps travelers access useful local phrases, understand places before they travel, and request practical planning support for available destinations. You are responsible for how you use LikeLocal and should not rely on it as a substitute for professional legal, medical, or emergency interpretation services.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse LikeLocal, the website, or related infrastructure.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.
• Do not use LikeLocal in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Accounts and paid services

LikeLocal may offer paid services, booking support, subscriptions, or account-based features. Any paid service requires a separate offer, acceptance, and payment step before it becomes binding.

Quote requests

The quote request form is an inquiry flow, not a confirmed booking, payment, reservation, or guarantee of availability. LikeLocal may review accommodation, car rental, boat, transfer, activity, or other travel requests and reply with an offer when a suitable option is available.

If you accept an offer, LikeLocal or the relevant provider may send payment instructions and booking details. A booking made through the quote flow is confirmed only after the required payment is completed and the relevant operator or provider confirms availability. Provider terms, cancellation policies, identification requirements, deposits, local taxes, and weather or safety restrictions may apply.

Direct online bookings made on LikeLocal Stays are different and are governed by the section below.

Direct online bookings (LikeLocal Stays)

Stays listed on LikeLocal Stays (the booking catalog at likelocal.app/localstay) can be booked and paid online. Unlike the quote request flow above, a LikeLocal Stays booking is binding once your payment succeeds: you select your dates, see the full price including VAT before paying, and complete the payment through our payment provider (Stripe). When the payment is confirmed you receive a booking code on screen and a confirmation email — no separate offer or acceptance step applies.

LikeLocal Stays bookings are operated by Iraklis Mantis (sole proprietorship), Zygomalli 5, 45332 Ioannina, Greece, VAT EL113061415 (“the Operator”), acting as booking agent for the accommodation provider named on the listing. The accommodation contract is formed directly between you and that provider; the Operator collects the payment on the provider’s behalf and issues the booking confirmation. The provider’s own terms — including cancellation and change policies, identification requirements, local taxes, and house rules — apply to your stay.

Prices on LikeLocal Stays are shown in euros and include VAT; the full breakdown (nightly rate, VAT, total) is displayed before payment. For changes, cancellations, or questions about a confirmed booking, contact us via the support page quoting your booking code.

Content and availability

We work to keep travel phrases and destination information accurate and available, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Available destinations can change as content is revised, expanded, or removed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LikeLocal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
